Pendulums & Accessories

Pendulums are used for divination; the practitioner holds the end of the chain or string over a grid and asks yes/no questions and interprets the answer based on the direction the pendulum swings.

It is considered a form of dowsing which was commonly employed in the past to find water, minerals, lost and other out-of-sight items.  Many experiments have found dowsing to be no better than chance at discovering hidden physical resources. 

The scientific community and many dowsers have come to view the motions of pendulums and dowsing rods to be the result of ideomotor phenomenon; unconscious muscular contractions originating in the subconscious mind. 

Given a piece of the spiritual journey is exploring and understanding the subconscious aspects of Self; this hypothesis of ideomotor phenomenon validates the use of pendulums as a form of inquiry that connects one to their intuitive and subconscious minds.
